Géraldine (Géry) Reuteler was born on 21 April 1999 in the canton of Nidwalden and started playing football as a child. Her career took her via FC Stans and FC Lucerne to Eintracht Frankfurt in the German Women’s Bundesliga, where she has been playing since 2018 and has established herself as a first-team regular. In the 2024/25 season, she was the top scorer in the Bundesliga and played a key role in her club’s successful campaign.
Since making her debut for the Swiss national team in 2017, Reuteler has been a key figure in attack. She can play in both midfield and up front, bringing creativity, dynamism and technical quality to the game. At the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 in Switzerland, she demonstrated her class on the biggest stage and was named Player of the Match on three occasions – a clear indication of her outstanding performances throughout the tournament.
In addition to her sporting qualities, Géraldine Reuteler is valued for her commitment, mental strength and team spirit. She is a key player in the Swiss national team and inspires young female footballers with her presence and her self-image as a professional athlete.
